Ecopoints are places of voluntary delivery of small volumes of rubble (up to 1 m³), large objects (furniture, tree pruning remains, etc.) and recyclable waste. The population can dispose of the material free of charge in separate buckets for each type of waste. The supply of these areas has been gradually expanded in all regions of the city.
The ECO1000 follows REQUIREMENTS, referring to the technical information required for the implementation of small volume Delivery Points for the receipt of construction waste and bulky waste with volume limitation, with the exploration of the implementation and management of ECOPONTS.

Eco1000 also has an integrated solid waste management and management system, using recognized technologies and demonstrated its technical capacity. The processes, technologies and systems proposed for the integrated waste management and management system must be integrated and compatible with the specific characteristics of the waste generated in the CITY, in order to provide minimization of landfilled waste and maximum reuse of waste.
Implementation and operation of Ecopoints
Small Volume Delivery Points (ECOPONTOS) are Public Equipment designed to receive construction waste and bulky waste limited to 1 (one) cubic meter per discharge, generated and delivered by residents, and may also be collected and delivered by small carriers. directly contracted by the generators, which equipment, without causing damage to public health and the environment, should be used for the sorting of waste received, subsequent differentiated collection and removal for proper disposal.
ECOPONTS shall meet the specifications of ABNT Brazilian Standard NBR 15.112 / 2004. ECOPONTS will also be used by the population to deliver dry recyclable materials.
The ECO1000 has a BASED DESIGN SERVICE PLANNING OF THE ECOPONTS INSTALLATIONS to be built, considering the quantity and estimating the location of the ECOPONTS to be deployed for the entire concession period, in accordance with the PGIRS guidelines, as well as other information that deem appropriate.
The location of the areas for the implementation of the ECOPONTS will be defined and provided by the municipality, based on demand studies to be performed by the winning bidder, pointing out the most favorable location within each catchment basin, with a strategic distribution in the north, south administrative regions. , east and west of the county.
ECOPONTS constitute waste collection points with potential for recycling or whose characteristics make them unsuitable for common household collection, with a limit volume of 1.0 m³ per load, to be installed in strategic locations of the Municipality, in order to offer residents alternatives to recyclable door-to-door waste collection and to avoid unlawful disposal of construction, demolition and bulky waste in clandestine spots. The waste intended for ECOPONTS is:
Antlers, prunings and garden clippings
RCC
Bulky useless goods
Potentially recyclable dry waste (plastics, glass, metals and paper)
Service description
ECOPONTS constitute waste collection points with potential for recycling or whose characteristics make them unsuitable for common household collection, with a limit volume of 1.0 m³ per load, to be installed in strategic locations of the Municipality, in order to offer residents alternatives to recyclable door-to-door waste collection and to avoid unlawful disposal of construction, demolition and bulky waste in clandestine spots. The waste intended for ECOPONTS is:
Residues taken by residents to the ECOPONTS will be segregated and temporarily stored in stationary containers of varying nominal capacity and / or masonry stalls.
Collection is performed by double crane vehicles and / or roll on roll off trucks for waste stored in containers and loaders and / or mini loaders and dump trucks for waste stored in bays, according to the planning defined by County.
After collection in ECOPONTS, the construction and bulky waste should be transported to the Treatment and Final Disposal System implemented in each municipality, from where they will be sent for treatment and final destination appropriate to the type of material:
The RCCs will be sent to the Construction Waste Sorting and Recycling Unit to be implemented in the Treatment and Final Disposal System to be implemented in each municipality;
The pruning remains and antlers are destined for the Composting Unit, in the Treatment and Final Disposal System, and the final disposal in Aterro Rejectos is not allowed;
Bulk waste will be forwarded to refurbishment workshops, recycling organizations or returned to the producer, in which case reverse logistics will take place.
The recyclable waste will be collected by the cooperatives or collectors associations hired by the municipality for public selective collection, whose screening sheds are the closest, for processing.
